Most frustrating season? Topic

So far, this is mine.

11 of 14 losses were at three or less within two minutes, 12 of 14 at 4 or less.

5 - 14, but only outscored on average by 1.2

Must have been Season 50 in Tark World, I was with D1 N. Arizona, I finished 17-10 (10-6) with a 101 RPI, but at least 7 of those losses came against Sim AI.  Seble refused to answer questions directly all season long, blowing lots of smoke, I was very CLOSE to dropping out of the world, but right before the deadline Seble finally started to answer some questions, got a little more respectful, so I renewed.  The next season I went to R2 of the NT and was able to get the job at Iowa.  While not a good team right now, I'm having the most fun with it compared to my other WIS teams.  Glad I stuck around!

just to add a question here, would it generally be true that you can afford to set fouls to more aggressive when running a slowdown and it might be better to set them to less aggressive when running uptempo, just because with more plays at uptempo there are more chances to foul, and with less plays in slowdown less chances?

ok.  So at the moment I am 7 - 14. . while only having been outscored by an average of .5 points per game.   this is really weird.

I have never touched the foul settings in all my seasons in this game and really have no idea what they do.

8 losses by three or less this is gettign depressing.  now a two point loss in overtime to add to the others. . .

a big thing I see with your team (and I know that you didn't ask) is that you have 4 losses to SIM AI, and in 3 of those games you played a 2-3 zone (once with a 3-2 and 0 +/-).  where as most human coaches in this game take between 20-35% of their shots from beyond the arc, most SIM teams take between 33-40% of their shots from beyond the arc.  if you are running a zone, most SIM teams warrant a 3-2 zone at +2 based on the sheer volume of 3s they take.  I'd bet you'd have won a few of those games had you not gotten lit up from beyond the arc by those teams.

funny thing is, however, my opponents three point percentage dropped significantly after moving to a base 2 - 3 instead of a base 3 - 2.

I think that's a coincidence.  As someone who runs 3-2 as much as 2-3, I'm pleading with you to run 3-2 +2 against most SIMs
