D2 teams in Allen? Topic

Wondering if any owners with a really good team from D2 are either moving up or leaving next year? I'm looking to move up, so let me know if any teams will be available out there besides the current sim A1's out there. Thanks

We do have a few half-owner/half-AI teams in the WVIAC - The West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference that you might want to take a look at and consider. I say half-owner/half-AI because a couple of them had owners up until the last couple of seasons, so some of the players are recruited and not SIM duds. There are 3 teams that are close to what you are running at Northland (Motion/Zone). Davis & Elkins and West Virginia St both run a Motion/Zone and Fairmont runs a Motion/Man. Your best bet would probably be Davis and Elkins. They are graduating 4, but you only need to recruit 2 PF/C for next season.

Plus you aren't going to get a good team with only 1 season, a more experienced coach will land the job. I would recommend staying in D3 a few years and getting the swing of recruiting and gameplanning. Build a full team of your players and get the swing of things.

D2 is a bit more competitive and the WVIAC is pretty competitive at that. I was there for a long time moved to D1  missed it and moved back to take over a crappy team and rebuild them. We have seen several coaches come up after 1 year of D3 and not be ready yet.

I know moving up as quick as possible seems the fun way to do it, but the game is much more fun when you have a few seasons in at a school and really know you can build a program.

I agree. I started out that way. D3 1 or 2 seasons & moved up before I was really ready & got creamed. It's a lot of fun building a program & staying there for several seasons!
