Pretty simple rules in this one.  You can use any season of any player who ever played for your franchise.  I'll be taking 2 teams.  If the winner of the WS has more regular-season wins than either of my teams then I'll give the founder's credit to the owner of that team.  Since I'm offering up the credit like this I'm going to pick one of my teams first.  I'll pick the other one 12th or so.  I'm not going to take the Yanks, the Sox, or the Cardinals anyway (at least not with my first team), so I don't think anybody should be crying foul too loudly.  Up to 4 instances of each franchise are allowed.  I'll realign until all 2-team owners have a team in each league and neither league has more than 2 instances of any franchise.  I reserve the right to manually switch 1 or 2 pairs of teams after random alignment if doing so fits everybody within the alignment rules.

I'm in with the Yankees.  I might take another team depending on how a few other leagues shake out, but i'm definitely in with my bombers.  

Quick question.  You say any player who ever played for your franchise.  What about players who are signed for the coming year but have technically not played a game yet?  I'm specifically thinking of Rafael Soriano.  Not the end of the world either way, but i'd love to have his '03 season in my pen.

Any stadium associated with the franchise.  I'm going to restrict it to players who have actually played for your franchise.  With the speed that leagues have been filling recently there's a good chance that by the time this is ready to start Soriano will have played in a game for NY.  Assuming he doesn't hurt himself during Spring Training.  With his injury history, one never knows...  I don't know which contract was stupider, his or Benoit's enormous contract following 1 good season in an 8-year career.

Thanks for the clarification.  I've already changed my mind, i'm going to take the Phillies instead.  I've been there and done that with the Yankees and while I know they would kick ***, i'd like to try something a bit different.  

I like the Phillies better than the Yankees.  I actually think my Braves offense is better than the Yankees' offense.

The Braves are certainly formidible with Ruth, Hornsby, Duffy, Hamilton, etc...I think a lot depends on the park too. The best years of the Yankee greats in the new Yankee Stadium hit a boat load of HRs. Should be fun to find out.

How many live games required?  If 40 or over I'm in with the Bosox.
