In the past couple of weeks, I've had two important players go down with serious injuries that will last through the offseason.  Right now my medical budget isn't great ($12mil).  If I set next season's medical budget significantly higher (say $18mil), will they benefit from the change?  Or is their outcome already determined by this season's budget?

Although I can't answer your question with any certainty, I think it's determined by this year's budget.   After all, his time out is already determined and it's not going to change.    That said, you can only increase by 4m.
