To echo what hannibal said, it takes at least one season for a player to learn a new off/def set sufficiently. Switching from one set to a different one either means you're going to be playing with F and D IQ ratings for most of one season, or you'll be playing your old style while practicing the new one.
I did the latter (play the old, practice the new) and it meant that my freshmen never did get very good at the old style before I switched. Lucky for me, I only had 2 freshmen last season.
Looking at your roster, there's no reason you can't succeed with your existing Triangle/Press. If I were you I'd start trying to get better DEF values on future recruits, though, as well as better ATH/SPD. If those are high enough you can play any defense effectively.
