Question on the Fast Break Offense Topic

In order to run this all I need is speed, stamina, and athleticism correct? I there anything else I should factor in?

not correct even a little bit. i don't know where you got that idea, but that is just crazy talk!

BH, pass, perimeter, rebounding, low post

I run the fast break.  While I certainly recruit SPD, ATH and STA first,  I don't  ignore the other attributes.   For  example, when I need a PG, I set the  search minimums for SPD and ATH at 70 (this is low end DI) and then see who is available.   I then target the guys with the highest BH and PASS.  I include PER and DEF if it is close.   I ignore LP and REB but a lot of people consider that valuable in guards.

I'm now coaching my first FB/FCP team, and what I want to know is whether it's incongruous to play Fastbreak and "Slow down"? :)

(With my inherited players, there's no way in hell I can go faster.  I need a couple of recruiting classes first.)

It's not only incongruous, it's not allowed.  You can only play fastbreak at normal or uptempo.

it looks like its allowed, it is an option and whatnot, but if selected it actually defaults to normal tempo for the game.

I just took over a fastbreak offense team, and in my first two games we had 23 personal fouls each(first game was a 33 point win)

Any way to cut down on fouls in the fastbreak/full court press?

Aha, thanks for that.  I was scratching my head because it sure looked to me like I could play slowdown, which made no sense to me :)

Raise IQ's and recruit Defense for players.
