My backup pg only played 6 minutes in the season opener because he fouled out, so he then drops 1 in work ethic (apparently disgruntled over his playing time).

hmm... players are not supposed to be impacted by low minute games due to fouling out. at least for the purposes of leaving or not. but i guess maybe the work ethic change is computed separately? i would ask CS on that one, myself.

The guys I've had who complained about playing time didn't do so until 5 or 6 games had gone by.  Never after the first game of the season.  Is something else going on?

I think this was a recent change. I had the same thing happen to my guard. He played 5 min the first game and the next day he lost 1 WE. He didn't complain or anything, just started dropping.

so I guess this falls into the category of unspecified tweaks? I don't like those (even more than I like the specified tweaks)

i don't think its unspecified... players have lost work ethic before starting to complain as long as i can remember. i just didn't think it was supposed to count if you fouled out, nor if you didn't play due to grades. but that may be for promises only - not for work ethic gains/losses.

They definitely used to only do WE reductions after every 6-7 games until a guy started bleeding points, after which it could continue apace. Drops after 1 game are new and a bit worrisome.

i'm under the impression that all ratings have an invisible decimal value (evidenced by how freshmen usually take an extra day or two to show gains while upperclassmen show gains right away). so a drop of 1 in WE is probably a drop of .2 in WE that isnt visible with all players.

This is kind of up the same alley, I have a SG that had started almost every game his JR year and then I decided to bench him the first game of his SR year against a cupcake team to get a start for a FR, he didn't complain but dropped 1 in WE.  He went back to starting the second game and immediately gained the point back, weird.

So a drop of -1 means he's not overly pis sed, he's just mildly disgruntled.  Maybe if you get him laid his WE will go back up.

Got him laid and he came out the next night a scored 15 for me.

Non-freshmen who aren't getting the PT they want (generally 10 mins) can often start to slowly drop in we.

wronoj, that's only related to not keeping promises to new recruits.
