Definitely my NC season in D2 Knight, season 23.
I had one of the most talented teams in D2, with by far the most depth and my team was extremely well-rounded. Until this point, my team just couldn't push out of the first, despite our talent. I couldn't figure it out early in the season, but I tore through conference play. I beat my only actual competition, another top-10 team, in my conference three times, including in the conference tournament finals. I was considering myself the underdog for every game after the first round, not because the computer said so, but the teams I was playing had either just as much talent or coaches who had won a NC. Yet, I still knew I would win the NC that year, there was no way anyone would stop me. Felt good. Then I left for D1, got a Big6 job right around the time that the recruits changed, hated it, and moved back down to D2 where I am an average coach..
