His 5th pitch is rated a 2. First of all, why would a pitcher still have such a low rated pitch in his repertoire? Second, how bad would the PC of the catcher have to be to call that pitch with 4 other vastly superior options? And finally, what are the chances my AAA PC(76 P-IQ rating) can get him to abandon that pitch altogether?

If he hasn't dropped it by now he may never drop it... in my experience if a pitcher is going to drop a pitch he'll do it within his first 2 years, though others may have had different experiences. For a pitcher to have a 2-rated pitch though is a game flaw in my opinion, that's basically the equivalent of setting up a tee in front of the hitter and putting the ball on it.

I feel your pain, torrone.  Try as I might, I couldn't get Joe Coleman to drop his 5th pitch . . .
