Sitemail me your entry by Thursday before the tourney starts.  Play-in games don't count as wins for this.

How does this make sense?  100 points total, 1 point per win...  There are only 63 games...  So no, I don't know the drill at all.  That math is more than a little fuzzy.

He means dollars.  You get 100 bucks to buy whatever teams you want at those prices.

Yes sorry, should have been more clear.  1 seed costs 25 dollars, 16 seed costs 1, each win from that team gives you 1 point, most points at the end wins.

Just some constructive criticism here, I don't like the fact that you have multiple seeds with the same dollar amount...it's like awarding the same amount of points to a race for someone that finished 15th as 16th...it just doesn't make sense...you finished ahead but you tied?
It's an extremely fun bracket Colonels, one that he's done for a couple of seasons now.  Perhaps instead of tearing his idea apart, you create a contest of your own?

its more like those teams cost the same to purchase a chance to score off their victories because they will statistically have little variation in the number of those victories...

Take it easy on colonels, dac. He's not really a stats guy.

First off, not my numbers, secondly, this is a pretty fun pool, I have entered it the last two seasons and it certainly makes the tourney a little more fun pulling for teams you otherwise might not care about.  And finally...

I only have 2 entries so far with the tourney less than 20 hours away people, come on.

is it just winner takes all
3/16/2011 8:34 PM
I would assume so, but not sure. I'm actually very curious to see others picks. Never done a pool like this so I'm not sure what kind of strategies people use. Looking forward to it.
