Couple of questions on philosophy of recruiting, here:
Do you do anything special when you target 1-or-2 year players to determine their IQs related to the system you're running? The reason I ask is because, in my experience, it's rare for a 4-year recruit to get higher than a B IQ in anything before the middle or later part of their 2nd year in my system (Man/Motion). (I may be recruiting idiots, so there's always that possibility).
If I think a kid can help me, I rarely ever worry about his pre-existing IQs. An "F" certainly won't stop me from recruiting him if he has 3 or 4 years of eligibility and his cores/potentials are what I want. But I'm reluctant to take that approach with junior or senior transfers.
Do you pay more attention to IQ with 2-year players or do you just look at their cores?
