Sim is *Very Tight*. Do I have a chance? Topic

I'm at Loyola (MD) and there is a recruit 10 miles away from my campus who is very *tight* with a D- prestige school in Chicago. My school also has D- prestige. Do I have a chance getting this recruit? And how much will I have to spend?

How many open scholarships does the other school have?

5 open scholarships with 3 players being considered

I just went through a similar situation in Iba. The sim was recruiting 3 players for 5 open spots. The player we battled for was 10 miles from my campus. The difference between your situation and mine is that I have a B prestige and the simmy had a C-. Word on the Street and the scholie e-mails all indicated that I was ahead for the entire battle. I was on him from the first cycle and it took 5 cycles after signings began for me to sign him. I spent $30,615 on the player including an offer of minutes.

yes, you have a chance.  It'll likely cost you at least $8k or up to $20-$30k (or maybe more).  It says "tight" with UIC, but you just don't know how this translates into costs until you start battling.

coachhamp, do you mind sharing how much it cost you to win Marble?  Just curious...

It's amazing I was able to sign him. In the past I have always been burned because at D- prestige I have to be careful with my budget. Marble started considering me after about $8,900. Total cost to sign him was $18,140.

nice, congrats to you.  Recruiting against sims is a totally different dynamic than against a real coach.  It's usually a lot easier to win these battles if you're smart about it.
