The ideal situation, in my opinion is to be like the only D3 school in a state where there are a lot of D2 schools, if you are focused on pulldowns. I have done really well with Palm Beach Atlantic. It is the only D3 school in Florida, but there are lots of D2 schools, and hence, lots of D2 recruits to pull down. My entire team consists of players from Florida. Also, the closest D3 school is like 400 miles away, so there is less competition - I don't have to worry about other D3 schools swooping in and taking players I am trying to pull down. This is especially true now that we have an A+ prestige. I believe that Colorado is another example of a school like this. I also have NW Nazarene in D2. It is the only D2 school in Idaho, and I managed to have a very good first year of recruiting there, especially among players who want to stay local. With a D+ prestige, I was able to land the #92 ranked Center.
