Ineligble D3 recruits Topic

Does anyone know if you recruit a player that is listed as D2 when you have a D3 school - if they sign do they definitely come to the school? The reason I ask is that I had a D2 team, and when I recruited an ineligible player, he ended up going to a Junior college instead, leaving me with a walk-on when I could have had a good player. I already have one ineligible player considering me, and I am looking at another, but I definitely do not want to end up with two walk-ons. My D3 team has A+ prestige.

Pretty sure all ineligible players have a chance of deciding to attend a JUCO school rather than showing up where signed. The only two that I signed at the D3 level both came to campus for me, but I was under the impression that they could have chosen otherwise.

I think any time you go after an ineligible, its one of those "pay your money, take your chances" sort of things.

I've never had a D3 ineligible go JUCO after they dropped to my D3 list.  I suppose it's possible but I've never seen it in many, many seasons of playing this game.

Just as you described, though, I've had it occur for my D2 team

Thanks - It is probably worth taking a chance on. They are better players than the others that I can get.

chapel - ineligible players will always come play at D3. It is a nice advantage over the D2 schools, because it is a risk for them.

Yeah, they'll always show up.  Since ineligibility doesn't really apply to D3, they have no reason to go JUCO.
