just a few years out of high school, and lebron is already favored over the likes of jordan and magic, and damn near anyone that's ever played the game. some amazing s h i t  happening with him.

Well, I'm oddly not happy about this but I really have to go with Michael Jordan here.

I was wondering how this would go - there are only two Mike seasons at 100% PG and neither of them are his best (although 88-89 is by no means bad but it's not as good as 89-90 which is not 100%) - I suppose we can expect similar trade offs at other positions as we advance further into the draft

this is what happened the first time we did this draft... worked out for some owners, and not for others. but i think jordan and lebron can easily be exceptions.

there's a couple other guys who I expect to go in this round who arent true PGs as well - what's interesting is that even in the case of MJ who has a 22% as# you're already in a draft for need position

agreed. in our previous league, ncih and shapandrew played in the finals. shap found wade available waaaay down at slot 22 and took him as a pg. glen made no "aren't true" at their position choices. however, the pairing of wade (getting lucky late) and teaming him with a top PF choice, put him over the top. these "aren't true" guys so far have been picked early. this may make a difference.

So should I have picked MJ...I thought Magic was an absolute no brainer...in this format I like him better than Lebron, but that could play into the bias that I have in regards to my love for Magic

I think the #2 spot could reasonably have gone to Jordan or Wade, but in my opinion Magic was a solid choice.  I don't use him a lot but I've never regretted it.  You haven't broken the bank, you're set with assists, probably have a good start on FTAs, and you have a lot of flexibility going forward.  He can give you great backcourt rebounding, although I usually prefer the one season where he contributes a meaningful amount of 3s.

I understand the Kidd love, but there are 2 or 3 other guys I would have taken ahead of him.

that's for sure! especially with an additional 5 mil to spend. but he's definately top 10, including all the "aren't true" players. i was looking at the 2011 season. being in china, i'm not up on the current season thing. holy crap, there's a couple of real gems that will be available for me. gonna take a hard look at a certain fellow.

I like the Kidd pick because you get top notch with a sub 7m salary and we are picking a 47m draft - he's adressed a ton of needs and can get usage almost any of these rounds

it's the next 10 or 15 that will be interesting - still a couple not true dudes out there and then mr 25 gets a plum (unless someone does something retarded) and the second round will get real interesting ( I may pick my 2 as my 1 and my 3 as my 2!)

I love the 'gaming' value of these threads too - is mr25 wondering who is my plum? I hope so! are the next 10 to 15 wondering what they could do that would be retarded? I hope so! overthink! overthink! overthink!

game is on.....

I can think of 1 sg that should sneak through.. maybe a certain SF too
