he looks like he could work as a closer, was wondering how many innings i could get out of him as a starter and if he would be effective.

I bet if you put him on an 70-80 pitch count you could consistently get 5-6 innings out of him.  Go any higher than that on the PC and he wouldn't be able to recover in time for his next start

It's a small sample size, but I had this guy working smoothly on a 90 pitch count during his stint in the majors last season:

the difference is that my guy's dur is 13 and yours is 30 i think that would have a major effect on the outcome

30 dur and 13 dur is a HUGE difference.

I believe the difference will show up in recovery time, not in in-game effectiveness.

That is, for the single game, if you think a 73 stamina warrants a 90 TPC, the relative effectiveness of similarly-rated pitchers should be the same for that game. The 30 Dur guy will just be able to do it again much sooner.

Here's another pitching question; not the same...
Last time I player ('bout a year and a half ago) the specialist roles were worthless. They didn't know how to manage innings or insert them in situations. 
Is there any value to having a vL specialist?
Like a guy who has 12 stamina, 90 vL, 68 vR, good pitching ratings, control, all that...

it was pretty cool, no doubt!! 

As for the pitchers, yeah didn't even see the DUR--- 13 v. 30 is a huge difference.....this guy might be a better guage:  Eric Fonda; as you can see, I've gotten about 150 IP/year out of him....

yea that is a better comparison, thanks.  looks like jude should be pretty solid but just limited in appearances
