Fielding Coach Topic

My fielding coach has a 53 rating (got beat in a few bidding wars and undershot my coaching budget) 
I picked him over a 58 guy because he has high patience (80) and discipline (74) ratings. 
Is this guy going to seriously impact my prospects over the next year? He's not gonna stay around longer than that...

Assuming that 50 as a baseline for "OK", you'll probably see flat defensive development.  No regression, but little to no progression.

That would be my guess.

I'd generally agree with tec, though i might shade more towards modest progression than no progression.

He'll probably improve by 4 points every season.  I'd keep that guy as long as he wants to stay and his number improves.

I got screwed on coach signings last year and landed a 58 rated FI... this year I snagged an 88 FI, I'm seeing almost twice as much growth in player defense. It did still grow with the 58 rated coach tho
