I have had some odd things happen during the course of a recent 6-game  losing streak, but today's game really has me scratching my head.

I had a rested '18 Speed Martin set as Closer A available 7th inning, and I have '88 Milacki as Closer B available 9th inning. 

After 7, I'm leading 4-3, and Sparky sends in Milacki for the 8th, who give up a solo shot to the 2nd batter (Greg Gagne, not Gehrig ). I score in the 9th and Milacki closes it out for a W1, BSV1.  Of course I'm not happy because '88 Milacki has very limited IP and I only want him coming in if Closer A falters. Milacki is now on rest for awhile.

Any ideas as to what setting I might need to look at?

If Milacki pitched two innings, no doubt you have his pitch count set too high. Why he entered the game in the 8th inning, perhaps some of the bullpen wizards here can answer that.

Well, just looking at your guys, I actually doubt Martin was rested for today's PM game.  He pitched 1.2 IP and threw 30 pitches in your AM game, giving him 31 IP and 392 pitches thrown through your team's first 61 games.  That puts him on pace for 82.3 IP compared to his 68 actual IP. 

My guess is you looked at his fatigue after the PM game, and it may well have been 100.  I doubt it was 100 before the PM game.  My guess is it was something like 88, based on both his total usage and his "recent" usage.

To piggyback onto napolean's comment, if Milacki indeed pitched two innings, you definitely have his pc count too high, unless he was seriously underused up to that point.  When on my teams, I tend to use Milacki as little as possible, and even when I do, he's at Closer B with a pc of 5-10.
