Signing ML coach to AAA? Topic

I've seen teams sign a coach demanding an ML coaching contract to AAA, how do they do this? Is there a certain point during coach signings where the demands of the coach change?

Disagree with shobob... the demand drops whenever the last ML coach is signed, and if they don't fill at all the demands never drop. Seen this many times.

Agree with dedelman.  ML coaches will not drop their demands to AAA until all ML teams sign a coach for that position.  If this happens early, then there can occasionally be several cycles with Ml coaches looking for AAA jobs.  Often you will see the last one or two teams hold out on signing a ML coach to prevent them from dropping.

That is not true guys, i have waited before and been able to sign ML coaches to the min salary because they were only looking for AAA jobs at that point...

Right - if pitching coaches have all filled then pitching coaches looking for AAA jobs will sign for the min as a ML bullpen coach.

I have tried it in the past successfully, but also gotten burned and stuck with terrible coaches because all AAA coaches were signed and nobody dropped down

I cant remember if all ML coaches had signed but I know this guy decided to work with pitchers after 14 years as a ML BC...I was able to sign him as my AAA PC and after 2 seasons He is back to the ML as my BC! He was a STEAL!
