Remove Scheduled Starter? Topic

Can I remove a scheduled starter?

I can't even seem to drop him to waivers...which is what I want to do.

Thanks in advance for any input...

Then I'd advise him to pitch his nuts off today...

You know, I am not opposed to a good SIM pep talk.   i just had one the other day with Pete Alexander.   I said,"

Ol' Pete.   I know you are dead but I need you to pitch well today.   I mean not for nothing but you are in the Hall of Fame and are like 2nd in all time wins.   Do you think 7 runs in 5 innings is acceptable in a World Series game.   Buck up man.  You're last outing sucked.   Stop worrying about the war and Europe and be a man today.  You're goona be  god damn veteran for Pete's sake.  See that?  Pete's sake!  There is a friggin cliche named for you!  Now take this ball and lead us to victory."

It worked.

Did he have an epileptic fit while throwing a third strike by Tony Lazerri?  If not, it would have to be his second best World Series (at best).  And the etymology of "Pete's sake" is a minced oath refering to Saint Peter, not Grover Clevland (Old Pete) Alexander.

The only thing I have found to do when I accidentally end up with a fatigued starter, or some other similar situation is to drop his pitch count to 40.

Yea,set pitch count to 40 with a pull of 5 and he will probably won't last 3 innings

Every time Pete's on one of my teams, despite a more than $29 mil salary, he swears he's three times better than 08 Joss and therefore wants three times what Joss makes.  I just tell him to prove it, and he usually does.  lol
