Can I please get some feed back on a player? Topic

I have a player here with an interesting skill set. I am really not sure what to think of him. And feed back would be great.

Thanks

He's a legitimate major league offensive player, about .230/.310/.450 with maybe 50 steals in 60 tries depending on your SB setting.  On defense it depends on what your team needs; he's a 2B who never makes a throwing error and is otherwise average, a slightly below average CF with lots of assists, or a boot-prone but otherwise average SS.

I like him; he can start for a playoff team, or be a super-utility player getting 400-500 AB all around the diamond.

+1
His health rating took a hit.  It would be interesting to see if he can recover some of the rating losses the injuries caused.  At 24 he still could have some growth left.  He's a versatile guy and can certainly get his share of AB's in multiple spots.

Looks like his glove will fall short for a SS.  It's a shame because I'd take a defensive SS with those offensive ratings any day.

tec, depending on the team I'd consider playing him at SS.  He's going to have roughly the same number of + and - plays, and his excess errors (I'd guess about 12-15 per 162 games worse than average) are all going to be of the one-base variety, since his AA is OK for an SS.  A lot of teams play SS's who are just average defensively and a lot more than 12-15 singles worse offensively than this guy.

With that power, eye, baserunning and speed ... theres a chance those could offset the low splits and he could be a pleasant surprise.

Interesting guy...with weird numbers.  I think I would play him as a 2B, against RHP. That's about all the games he has in him, anyway.  His AAA performance is misleading...he's not THAT good.  But he will do all right, if you don't let him swing against lefties much.  30 HR's, perhaps more in a good year.

Not a bad player. Don't know why noone's mentioned 3rd base. Thats where I normally play my below average SS's.

Since he's RHed, his stats should be pretty similar against lefties. Probably ever so slightly worse.

You may have to trade him to NY or LA.  With a name like Jay Broadway, I have a feeling his britches are going to be a little too big for Salem.

his ratings are great except for his splits... probably a career 750-800 OPS, 35-40 HRs a year

i bet he would put up .240 with 35-50 HR he could find a spot in the lineup get him to the bigs
