Against a zone, you will gain no advantage, because you cannot control the matchups by rearranging your players, unlike when you face a M2M defense. Against M2M, you might gain an advantage, depending on the matchups. You need to weigh many different factors, though. If you gain some scoring, you may lose some ball control and some rebounding in the exchange. It's a good exercise in HD analysis to guage what the effect of the position switch will be, then try it and see how it turns out. It's up to you to decide if the result was worth it.
