Player improvement Topic

I'm debating between a couple recruits and I can't find what I'm looking for, can someone remind me of what the low, average, high improvement numbers are again.  From what I remember this is how it goes but just want someone to verify.

Low   1-5
Average   5-10
Low High   10-20
High High   20 +

I know that low high is 21-30 and high high is 30+, but I don't know where the cutoff between low and average is.

ETA: The ambiguity over the terminal point for average comes from differences between FSS and the player thoughts email. Feel free to have that discussion. My belief is that FSS thinks average is 7-20 and player thoughts thinks it ends at 19 (or is it the other way around?). The first argument is that player thoughts email comes after the first practice, and therefore the attribute in question probably went up enough of a fraction of a point to round from one zone to the next. That's possible. Ultimately all it means is if you find you have one of those situation where you get an FSS says one thing and the player thoughts email says another, the attribute in question will raise 20 pts, assuming WE, minutes, etc...

ok thanks dacj, I just found it and what you said matches up with what I read.  That being said if the recruit has an "average" rating can he always improve 19 or 20 points given the right circumstances (PT, WE, Starting 4 years) or does he have a mystery cap that can't be exceeded like say 13??  Also this makes me wonder, what is the most anyone has had a High-High rating improve??

average is a mysterious value anywhere between 7 and 19 or 20. It could mean 7 max or 19/20 max... naturally since low only encompasses 6 total points it gets 2 sub categories, while avg is just avg, but that's how it goes...

I had a high-high go from 40 to 100.

I have had high-highs go from 20s to 99. The skill was LP.

I think you have it right. For FSS, average is 7-20, and for player thoughts it's 7-19.

I recruited a SG this season who, according to FSS, had average potential in both defense and passing. But, according to the player thoughts email, he has "big" potential in both these areas. So, basically, I lucked out big time with this player (who also has high-high potential for speed and perimeter): http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/PlayerProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=0&pid=1845538

So, FSS and player thoughts must just have different scales, or perhaps it's just an old glitch that seble never fixed. Either way, I'm happy it exists, because it tells us exactly how much growth to expect from "average" potential. And that extra piece of information helps make practice plans a bit more efficient, imo.

I also have had huge improvements, e.g. LP going from 27 to 98, 20 to 92 and PER going from 22 to 100, but I think those two categories are the exception. I've never seen any other categories improve by that much.

In the early days of potential I had two PFs that started in single digits in passing and ended up 90+ (both were redshirted).

I've got a SG who's LP is up 68 points so far. Started at 18, he's now up to 86.
