There's no way to convert a P to be a position player, is there? There's a pitcher I'm thinking of acquiring who is an ok RP, but I think has more value as a backup C, due to his ability to throw out runners without a worthless PC rating. But I'm not finding anyway to alter the position of a pitcher like you could a position player.

It was more of a pipe dream, he's not going to push my team over the top as a RP or C but thought it would be worth trying if possible.

I swear you used to be able to click the pitcher's position on the GM page and change their assigned position, but I checked and it is not clickable any longer.

You're not hallucinating.  You used to be able to do this, and you no longer can.  This change was part of the last update, on 11/15/10.

I guess too many people abused that in the past when wanting to wreck teams.

I used to use it to turn Tryout camp P's into RL position players... that was handy... I never thought about people doing it for other reasons..
