I have yet to create a league and with the stalemates of people creating leagues with high salary caps and regurgitating ideas. I've come up with something that might create a new balance to the sim.

So here are the basics

44 Mil Cap
No WW, No Clones, No Rookies

and here is the challenge.

Nobody on your team can be on the 50 greatest list. (this eliminates the same boring studs)
Nobody on your team can have more than 1 3pm per real life game played. (this eliminates the same old bombers)
Your team cannot exceed 500 real life three pointers made.
No Dennis Rodman (obviously everyone would take him)

Additionally each owner blacklists two players upon signing up.

Hopefully this is different than those 200 Mil leagues that make absolutely no sense in this sim.

I am quite sure that no teams would look identical.

i like the idea evil but the 50 greatest list doesnt include modern players like lebron and dwight...two players that are hard to pass up ...and jkidd too..is he on the list? because everyone would use him

personally i would like to see a theme league that restricts 3 pointers and blacklists some obvious choices(rodman,mj,wilt ect.) and this league sounds pretty close to that line of thinking

I'll take that suggestion and implement a rule. I think that should create a different look.

Kind of interesting, but the cap confuses me.  If there's no one from the top 50 AND you have 48 blacklisted players (49 if you count Rodman) how does anyone approach 50 mill, let alone 57.  My concern is if they cap is so much higher than anyone could fill a roster with you'll have lots of very similar teams.  I think you should either go with a 47 mill cap or remove the blacklisted players and go to 57 and maybe still blacklist a couple guys like Rodman.

I am going to keep the blacklist rule in effect, but change the cap to 50

IMO, a $50M cap is too high with all these restrictions.  I think the good teams would look very similar.

yeah think you need like a 42m-45m cap on this

I am definitely taking cues from everyone in order to create a league that isn't so bland and free of redundancy. I'll place the cap at 44M and that will have to be a finalization.

I also thought about the possibilities of having a 1 round draft after we get all 24 owners in, in order to claim 1 exclusive player per team, but it would have to be a majority rules type thing. I feel like it is a cool idea though it means people would need to commit to waiting for all to unfold.

I won't join if there is a draft.
