Evans is my #2 PG because he's got the best combination of BH and Pass on the team. Flagg is the only guy who has the combination of PG skills and IQ to want getting significant minutes at PG. I gave serious consideration to starting Evans at PG. I'm more comfortable with Myles playing big minutes at SF than I am with Watson playing big minutes at PG.
McCadams is set as the #2 PF because of his speed. I prefer to have more speed at PF, particularly in the press. If and when McCadams and Barrett are in the game at the same time, I want McCadams at PF and Barrett at C. I want to get as many minutes for my top 3 bigs as possible. With the way I have it set up it should always preferentially use those 3 guys without ever using Barrett at PF. I'm looking at it as if Barrett is the first backup for each of my bigs but always plays C. I've done this before and it has worked reasonably as I would expect, surprisingly enough. Incidentally, the speed consideration is also the reason I have McCadams at C and Mortensen at PF. However, I've been wondering why Mortensen hasn't scored very efficiently. Maybe he'd be better at C? Incidentally, Seble did say not so long ago that rebounding is now of equal value at PF and C. Or at least, that each post position has an equal share in the team rebounding equation.
Babb is set as my #2 SG because my second-team is going to struggle for scoring. Babb will be able to provide some offense with his PER - not a lot, maybe, but more than Watson.
Finally, I actually do have my depth chart set 4-deep at each position, just didn't feel it was necessary to post the 4th guys since very few people on here are interested in looking that far anyway. Case in point, billscnb looked at the starting lineup. Anyway, my 4th PG is Babb, SG is Evans, SF is Watson, PF is Johnson, and C is Hohman.
