Any thoughts on my lineup? Topic

I'm not entirely happy with my team right now.  I'm just getting back in to the game again.  This is my 3rd season back, and i'm still rusty.  This is going to be a re-building year for my team since i lost 4 seniors who were pretty key to my team.  I didn't do a great recruiting job the first year back and am struggling a bit with my last class so it's going to hurt me.

My question is, can anyone give me any pointers on my lineup?  I'm starting who I think is best, and changing the matchups slightly depending on the defensive weaknesses of the teams i play, but as a whole, does anyone see any glaring mistakes with the starting lineup i'm filling, or the amount of time some of my guys are getting?

Looking at my distro, is there someone i should be giving more shots?  I know my scoring isn't the most balanced right now, but i was playing a SIM AI the first two games, and figured i'd just give my best player the shots.  I have already adjusted it some for my human opponent tonight, but i'm open to hearing suggestions.

One big mistake i've made already was not paying enough attention to the defensive ratings during my first recruiting cycle, my team definitely needs to get better defensively, i think that will kill me this year, along with rebounding from my guards.

Thanks in advance for all the tips and ideas.  I can handle the criticism so feel free to be honest :)

did the same for defense my first few classes!

... and i didn't even know about potentials/FSS really until two seasons back so it's all a learning process

It took me probably 8-10 recruiting classes before I realized how important defense is, so you're ahead of me

To answer you quickly, before I look at specifics, another area you definitely need to address in future recruiting is improving your individual and team Athleticism. I generally don't sign a player with an ATH of below 50 if I can help it.

thanks for the replies.. i'll definitely look in to tinkering with my lineup as suggested.

Also thanks for the tip on athleticism, is that important for every player across the board? or mainly just the guards or big men?

my prestige is only a C right now, so i have trouble getting some of the top drop downs, but hopefully if i can start to raise that i can get better recruits

ATH is important for everyone and before worrying about dropdowns, worry about signing guys with high scores in the specific core areas.

Core areas for Guards - Speed, Def, BH, and Passing
Core areas for Bigmen - Ath, Def, Reb, LP
