I just took over Pacific. The last coach was a sim coach who put zero time towards SH. All but 1 player has a 2.2 GPA or lower. Are these players going to be academically ineligible next season?

just give them some SH and you'll be ok. If you want to hedge on the side of caution, this formula is usually accepted as sufficient (if not generous):

Frosh:  4.0 - HS GPA x 10 = SH
Soph:   3.6 - cur GPA x 10 = SH
Junior:  3.2 - cur GPA x 10 = SH
Senior: 2.8 - cur GPA x 10 = SH

Most coaches will say that this much SH time is excessive, me included, but if you want to be certain, this seems to be a way to do it.

I would put 0 into any junior, senior with a 3.0+. If they dip at midterm, will give 10. For fresh, soph I start at 10, will go to 15 if I get the warning. Any soph above 3.0 will start at 5. Never had anyone fail. In your case, would use the 10 for all till they reach 3.0. The ones that don't would stay at 10 to be safe.

How does this team have freshmen with no GPAs at the end of the season?  I guess SIM teams work differently for GPA.  Anybody have the scoop?

As far as eligibility, they need a 2.0 cumulative GPA so they all look OK.   Although I would assume there is some adjustment when the season rolls over so the freshman get some numbers and perhaps the others get adjusted as well.
