A Very Small Suggestion Topic

I believe it to be small, anyways.

First, I'll say that I'm pretty much a dork.  Everything I am about to say is going to prove that.

I'm the type of guy who doesn't see the game results (Clicks the ??? To see the box score without giving up the outcome of the game)..

I'm also the type of guy who minimizes that window before anything is displayed so that I don't see a bunch of yellow (runs scored) and give anything away.

I click the down arrow one play at a time, so I can put myself "into" the game.

Dork?  Yep... But it's how I do it.

Anyways, what would be nice for me (and others like me) is when the pitchers come in to pitch in the hidden play-by-play, if it was a clickable link to their ratings.  I'd like to see what I'm up against and I don't always catch it before the game.......

Simple fix I think... but I don't know... It would be nice to click players inside the box scores without seeing the outcome of the game.

As a more detailed fix - Hire someone to fix the GD game that is completely screwed before even more players drop and that ends up like Clutch Racing.  Pretty ****** of Conte to completely destroy up a game that most of us loved and then leave town.

If you are willing to hire a developer remotely I'll take the job for minimal pay, as I don't need the money and can program c# , c++, and asp.net, which is what I assume was done this past screw up..

Thanks.

Bonez, I think thats how most of us read the play by play. And the lack of links to pitchers and substitues entering the game has bothered me for years.

Pinch hitters and runners, defensive replacements especially after in game injuries, lefty or righty releivers, etc.

I think this is a great idea.  Down a run, entering the 9th?  What's this Closer like?

Or if they wanted to move the game into the 21st century of web programming, clicking a name and/or hovering over a name could bring up a little pop-up with just his ratings (picture, extraneous player card info not needed).  That way it wouldn't disrupt the flow of the reading the game very much either.

While we're dreaming, here is what I'd like to see.

A popup box with forward and back buttons split up into 4 main areas:

1.  A game diamond showing the current game status - linescore, # of outs, runners on base (runner names would be nice, but not necessary).
2.  Play-by-play box - no modification needed from what's currently in each line of the game summary, except that it displays one line at a time as the forward and back arrows are pressed.
3.  A pitcher box showing the current pitcher, throws L/R, his ratings, and current pitch count.
4.  A batter box showing the next batter, bats L/R/S,  and his ratings.

Pitcher and batter stats would be nice too, especially if they were updated at-bat by at-bat, but I realize that would take a lot more programming and data resources than what would likely be available to be implemented, and I would still be very happy with what's above.

noragar, I don't know why I never dreamed that up myself, but that would just be amazing.  Particularly having access to the player ratings of the pitcher/batter as you read.  Man, talk about ratcheting up the enjoyment/analysis factor.  Plus it would help build name/star recognitions in world since I'd automatically pay more attention to the rosters of others simply by reading the games.
