These things just seem like the next progressive step to making this game even better:
1. trade chat forwarded to text, or even email. With the number of people with smartphones these days, this just seems like an obvious option to have. We can already have site mail forwarded, why not TC's as well. (even better would be a way to respond within the text/email, but that brings me to...)
2. a smartphone app. somewhere to view box scores, world chat, league schedule, trade chat, standings and trade proposal/accept screen. More would obviously be better, but a simple app with these screens in one would make it SO easy to handle any daily tasks anywhere with ease.

These are just some thoughts, but I'm hoping the devs are listening!

+1 on both.

Don't think we'll ever see either.  Development of the game seems pretty stagnant these days.

I agree with you, and it's a real shame that way. Unfortunately for us, there is nothing else out there now that is half as good as this. I think the devs know that and don't see the use in that kind of innovation.

I noticed a real downturn as soon as foxsports bought WiS

That happened before HBD came out.

If you have a blackberry, you can fully use the HBD site.  Due to the ability to select sub menus in the drop downs.  I had a blackberry and it was easy, now I have an android, and I can adjust pitching staff, and batting order, but unless there is a specific message on the home page like a 'players needing assignment' to click that link, you cannot navigate the drop downs (such as getting to the IFA's).

Don't expect WiS to create an app, it would likely come from a third party developer.

I can use the site fine with Android but there is a bit of an art it to it.  Since that sub-menu function is a "hover" function, you can't click and release to get the sub menus. You have to press the menu and keep your finger on it.  Then the menu drops down and you can click on one of the other options.  It gets a bit tougher for 3rd level sub menus (like Player rest, for example) but it is also doable.   This is on Android 2.1, if you have a different version of Android I can't guarantee that it'll work.

I'm on 2.3 and it hasn't given me enough time to move to a sub menu, it assumes I am holding on to create a short cut or something like that.

I guess I'm old school....when having trouble with the drop downs on my Defy (not often), I just manually type in the page in the address bar. Works just fine. All you really have to add is "backslash"whatever page you want (i.e. ..../PlayerRest.aspx)

Yep, that's the other way to do it.  You can also bookmark all of the subpages if you're like me and too lazy to type in "/PlayerRest.aspx"

A messanger type service on the site could also be useful if you want to discuss trades with someone who is also online at the same time. I guess trade chats to email/text would be similar but nevertheless.
