In my world, top IFA's typically can be signed for way more than $20 M.  Top free agents it seems get big bonuses as well. Do all these bonuses come from the Prospect Payroll? How does that work when teams are clearly spending more than the $20 M max?  Are they just transferring money from their player payroll?   In the Help section, it says bonus money comes from "future season payroll".  I'm not sure how that works.

Any help?  Thanks.

yes, you have to transfer money from player or coach payroll into the prospect payroll

Bonus money for IFAs comes from prospect payroll. So to get to over 20m you need to transfer from player or coach salary.

Bonus money for ML FAs comes from future season payroll, ie, your player payroll for the first year of that contract. So if I sign a guy for 20M a year + a 10M bonus, his "cap figure" will be 30M out of player payroll for the first season of his contract.
