How big of a liability Topic

would a guard with low- to mid-20s defense be in the press (D3)?  I'm looking at a potential recruit that will have at least upper-40s ATH and low-70s speed (both are high potential and these are worst-case values), excellent across the board guard skills offensively, above-average LP (at least), and will be an over 80% FT shooter.  Best of all, the guy's in my D3 pool and could probably be had for peanuts.  But will he kill me on the defensive end?  How many minutes can he contribute without fouling out?  These are important questions to consider before signing the guy...

Guys with 70D foul a ton in the press, I think this guy if he ever started would average over 3 fouls a game. If he were ever you best scorer you'd be ****** with how many games he only plays 12 minutes and fouled out.

He's gonna foul alot. Look at this roster from my conf mate, pretty clear that low def is negating the ath/spd edge of his guards:

In todays egine yes.  If he is good enough otherwise he may not be to much liability.
