Can I cut players before recruiting starts?  Just wondering if I can and open up a scholarship or two?

You can cut players right when the jobs period ends up to the start of signings.  You will not receive any additional recruiting money if you cut players.

Sorry if I sound dumb, but just to clarify... I can recruit and get recruits interested in my school, and as long as I cut a player before the actual signing period begins, I'm good?

Yes, you can cut a player all the way up to the signings period and recruit someone else to fill his spot. However, you won't recieve extra $ for the open scholarship. Also, if you cut a player that you yourself signed, then your reputation will take a slight hit.
