Can I live with FredRedding and his crappy range (77) for one more year in CF?

He still has the glove.  It would certainly simplify my line-up concerns if he plays there.

I'd be more concerned about his bat...

Have a heart to heart with him.  Work something out mano-a-mano.

Or look at comparable CFs and their +/- results and decide how the tradeoffs work for you.

He's been decent for me jtrinsey.  In 5 seasons in Syracuse, playing every day, he's averaged .248-.314-.450 and 25 homers.  I can live with that.  If he did it one more time...I would be ecstatic.

Your guy matches up reasonably well with Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Philip Thomson whom I'm currently playing for one last season in CF. He's the world career leader in plus plays, but this season he's on track for 10 minus plays. Figure your guy to do a bit worse, so if you can live with that ...

I'd want to double check this, but you might end uo with better team defense moving Hayes to CF and Redding to 2B

Have thought about the dwoolery.  Thanks.  I originally was going to move Redding to 2B.  My Darwin, my SS to CF (for one year) and keep Cornejo and play him at SS, where he's a former GG winner.

That's my best defensive lineup.  Not my best offensive lineup.

Also thought about playing Hayes in CF vs. righties (Can't play Hayes every game) and then adjust from there vs. lefties.  Not sure who I would play in center in that case, vs. lefties.

If you play him in CF, you're probably looking at about 5-10 more minus plays than last yr, or yielding about 3-7 more runs. Maybe his baseline offense drops a tick from career avg. Figure 10 fewer runs allowed (or prevented) results in 1 loss. I would say that's a pretty reasonable assumption for the "cost" of keeping him there one more year.

Range is more important at 2nd base than in CF.

Not according to the recs

Could you elaborate? In the crude stuff I've thrown together it's seemed like CF have generated more opportunities to generate plus plays well above avg at the posn when range is high, and that 2B see more benefit from higher glove rating due to much higher fielding chances.
