100Mil. Franchise with pyo Random AAA Topic

How about a team with a variety of players download your favorite team of all time e.g. 2004 Redsox and draft 12 position players and 4 pitchers from that franchise but they have to be first year players. These AAA players will have a setting of random to give the most choices but avoiding loading teams with studs. Injuries will be on and trades allowed; no dh; no clones; no waiver wire to make it a more realistic season.  Limit 2 of same franchise. 40 games live to make playoffs.  Playoffs Live. If your team of choice doesn't have 25 players you may draft anyone from that franchise under 3 Mil. for position players and starters 1.5 mil. for relievers.  Includes players from franchises that have moved or changed names.  e.g. Brooklyn/L.A. Dodgers

I'll start with the 1946 Boston Redsox

  16  teams 162 game season

2.  1901 Boston Americans    Joshkvt
3.  1998 New York Yankees   gusv

AAA can be from any season in your franchise's history?  And just to clarify - unless you spend a ton of time talking with customer service, there IS a cap for the rookies.  Even when you have it set to pick-your-own there is no caliber of rookies that lets you pick anyone, there is always a cap on price as well as some minima for PA and IP...

Yes any season from franchise history as long as it is player's first season in bigs will have setting at Random AAA.  Thus avoiding teams just replacing all starters with rookie studs.

There goes using 1910 Russ Ford, lol. One more clarification, when you say first season in the bigs do you mean first eligible (wis) season, their official rookie year or the first year they appeared in any big league games?

Either way I'm in with the 1939 Yankees.

First eligible wis season

1) Can you twist players to best season with that franchise? 2) Can you draft rook players that had great rook season, like 64 Twins Tony Oliva, at a rook price that would not count in 100M?

no twisting allowed if wis setting on first season allows it player is eligible so in order to have Tony you would have to choose the 64 twins and your aaa would come from twins/senators waa first year roster.

Conflicting responses on AAA level. Is it WAA (way above average) or AA (above average)?

Was originally set at above average but has been changed to Random first year players in order to avoid loading up of teams with AAA studs.  My intent being to fill voids in lineups and replace injured players when necessary to make it as close to a realistic season as possible.  Also changing filler players to 3 million for position players and starters and 1.5 million for relievers so if anyone wants to back out let me know.  These should be final tweaking of process.

So it isn't choose your own AAA any longer?
8/8/2011 10:35 PM
Actually, I think i'm going to pass.  Not because of your changes, but I think I want to give another league a try and i'm trying to keep my active leagues to a certain number.

I'll take the 1998 NY Yanks
8/8/2011 11:22 PM
