Did they change how prestige is calculated? Topic

I always thought they looked at your last 4 seasons when calculating prestige? With my So. Ind team in Phelan we got upset in the first round this year but the two years before that were in in the NT Championship game and we still dropped from A+ to an A. I would think that I should still be an A+.

No changes of any kind recently. D2/D3 have always weighted the most recent season far too heavily.

how do number of wins and postseason performance factor into prestige?  is one more important than the other?

CS told me a few months back that there is no 4 season window at D2 and D3, the 4 year window is only for D1. So basically at D2/D3 you have a # that is your prestige and that gets changed into a letter grade that we see for prestige. And depending how your season guys it's weighed into that number. So say you an A+ rating is 800+ and you have a season that is rated only 700 it would likely drop your prestige at D2/D3 since your previous 3 seasons aren't directly factored.

I wouldn't envision a 1-year window as much as a floating value that just gets some adjustment factor each season...  In a sense that would to some extent give a window length of the duration of the world, but the most recent season would always be able to have significant pull.

It's definitely that dahs except that it's definitely more than "some adjustment" after each season. My estimate is that in D2 and D3 the most recent season is at least 60% of the formula.
