My friend would like to know, if he takes over a team with 0 scholarships, and he cuts someone, will he receive any money for recruitment.  IE.....money earned for teams that advanced in his conference throughout the tournament  etc...

Thanks in advance.

From the FAQ:  "If a team is not renewed, then National Tournament money and carry over money are both wiped out - that way all new coaches will begin at the same level."

Also, if you cut a player you don't receive any recruiting money for him that season.  If you don't fill that slot, however, you will get money for the subsequent season.

What if you take over a Sim team. Do you get any carryover money or, more importantly, do you get the NT and PT shares?

I don't think so...only the money for available openings

When I took over MSU, I had zero scholarships, but I had money in bank which I assumed was conference money. I cut a guy and signed a player with it.

You get the NT & PT money for that year, but no carryover from prior years.

If you do not cut anyone you get to carryover 100% of it.

I think you get conference tournament money only

That is correct.  You get shares from any NT/PIT conference winnings, but no carryover of any kind from previous (tournament winnings and 25% carryover).
