Position designation for FA compensation Topic

I think he's a type A for both.  I could be wrong, but I think that DH and C are in the same category

While this seems to be about the worst way to determine a player's FA comp status, check his recommended position.    If the system designates him as a DH, that's what it will be.   Range below 10, if I'm not mistaken, will designate him as a DH while sub-par AA/AS/PC does not.

Nope.  C is it's own position group.  DH is thrown in with 1B and OF.

From the "Help" for the Amateur Draft Order page:

Free-Agent Type - This indicates the type of free-agent that caused this pick to change hands. Type A players are those who rank in the top 20% at their position group in the big leagues (C, 1B/OF/DH, 2B/3B/SS, SP and RP). Type B players rank between 20% and 40% at their position groups in the big leagues.

I asked this same question in wc, and got the same answer.

I signed this FA. He was listed as a 3B in the FA report, but his show recs puts him at 2B.

My real question is how can his show recs be 2B, but then he shows up as 3B in FA?
