With a bunch of compensatory picks this year, the plan wasn't to only select pitchers, but that's the way it worked out. That's fine, my theory is to set the top 50 players and not to cap my positions, so I'm getting the best player. Did I actually help build my future rotation, or did I do little more than add a bunch of potential long relief guys? Thanks for your opinions. I gave you the player name and the pick that he was in the draft... Also my Adv Scouting is set at 16.

Comparing the projections against guys on my teams, I'd say that Verlander will be a decent ML starter, Brito is a borderline ML SP/LR, Norris is super durable but will give up a lot of HR with the low velocity/GB combo, Maxwell's pitches will are too low for him to succeed in ML and is an injury risk, Rhodes has bad combination of low stamina, durability and control that will leave him with a lot of 0.2 IP, 4 ER outings.

It's a little better than average given the picks you had.  I don't think Rhodes is a big league player and I'd hope to get a marginal one at 71, but Maxwell could be almost an average LRA at 67 and that's very nice value.  The other guys are all solid but not special for their slot-- maybe Verlander, who is an SP2, is a little better than you'd usually get at 14.

I'd say Verlander is a middle of the rotation starter, Brito is a #5, Norris is potentially an LRB, and the other two guys should never see the majors.
