Start Promise...we need a come back! Topic

High potential guy with "Good Cores".  You make the Start Promise to recruit him.  Now his IQ's stay low!  When you start playing with his starting position to get some wins, he complains!

WE the humans should get a email option back to him to "Learn our system of your out of here!!!"

Since his WE drops with his email, if he wants to stay let his WE rise with our comeback!   If he wants to go......oh well!

Maybe you just shouldn't break your promises? Problem solved.

You know the rate at which IQ grows, it's not that variable, if you aren't willing to start guys at the IQ they have and will have then don't promise them starts.  Problem solved.

Probably a real life scenario you're describing, he probably wouldn't complain. Unfortunately, the game doesn't resemble real life.

Looking for input-advice on this one.   In the past I've always 100% started players I promised a start (except maybe in post season games) but I have one now that is improving well but at times hurts the team since I have an upperclassman that is somewhat stronger.

With a start promise, must you start a player every game to "keep your promise" or can you not start him some percentage of the time, not starting him when matchup doesn't work, (like starting him 80% of the time) and still be keeping your promise?

Any experience on complaints?

80% starting is the target. And you can bench him full time beginning in the CT.

Hey TEM - if you haven't played too many games without him in the lineup, if you put him back in the lineup, his WE will eventually return to its normal level.  Jtt above said 80% starting is the target to meet your promise.  That is pretty much right ont.  20 games out of the 26 non-con (once conf tourney starts, do whatever you want, promises don't matter).  I think you can get by with 18 in some instances, but its best to be safe than sorry.
