Per the help..."In a five-year contract, no season can comprise more than 25% or less than 10% of the total value of the contract."  Both contracts would appear to be within those ranges ($5,000,000 to $12,500,000).  I could submit a ticket on it, but thought I'd waste your time before wasting admin's time.  :)

The first contract is not acceptable.

The wording in the HELP sucks on this point (among others) and the reality is that no season can include more than 25% of the salary paid yearly over the contract. So, in contract 1, you take out the $5M in bonus money and are left with $45M in yearly payments.

$12M is more than 25% of $45M, so that first contract will not be permitted.

Oh, and if it makes you feel any better, first level support would likely tell you both are OK, even if you sent a ticket explaining that the first one generates a message saying you cannot do it. You'd need to get two or more levels up before you'd reach someone who would understand and/or respond intelligibly.
