I fielded a pretty terrible team in that league for a few seasons... probably greatly contributed to Wagner and Crawford's hit totals. Like to think I left the team with a well stocked cupboard of prospects and picks... they were supposed to get competitive around 1915/16.

The Glory of Their Times by Lawrence Ritter, it's a great oral history of baseball in the early days of the 20th century. Sam Crawford's chapter is especially good.
