If a coach gets a school put on probation, one of two things needs to happen.  1) They are automatically canned; 2) The cannot switch jobs after the season (even to a lower division).  Guy in our conference got his team placed on probation and then bailed right after the season.  Who is the real loser?  Our conference.  This needs to change!

My point was if youre going to give them the ability to leave; might as well fire them 100% if the time. If you take away the ability to leave then no reason to can them.

Looked to me like your point was that the conference gets screwed over and a change needs to be made so that was no longer the case.  Just trying to understand how a firing would screw you over any less than a coach leaving on their own accord. Seems to me you're screwed either way.

The conference gets screwed because the school is on probation, not because the coach leaves.  My point was either fire a coach for putting the school on probation OR preferably, if they dont want to be that extreme, don't let that coach leave the program for another job.

Still confused about how your conference being the loser when a school is on probation (no kidding) has anything to do with your alleged point that coaches need to be fired or forced to stay.

Who said anything about it helping the conference...My point is the guy is screwing the team and the conference, he should go down with the ship not simply be allowed to leave; and so you dont say the same thing for a 3rd time...I get that firing allows him to leave also which is why I said the second option was preferable.

so you want WIS to force someone who has paid to use their service to play the game that they have paid for a certain way?  even when it does nothing to help you, your conference, or the starving children in africa?

Gotta agree. I don't appreciate guys coming in and ruining good teams but I don't see how anything mmt proposed changes that.

I got a team that I got a violation with, I stuck with the team and am diligently working away at rebuilding the prestige and reputation. I am glad I wasn't fired (its bull anyway, the player didn't accept and I didn't recruit the player)
