2011 Sick & Twisted $90M -(full) Topic

This is a league that will allow any 2011 team to compete. Pick your favorite team and take them all the way. Twist any player that played at least one game for your franchise in 2011. Check this out on baseball-reference.com. In addition, you can optionally pick one pitcher and one hitter that played for your franchise between the years 2001-2010. This player cannot be twisted. I don't care if it is partial or whole seasons for these two extras. Just so they have your team name next to your players name in the WIS database, then you are good.

One last thing....since no AAA, you can use $200K players to fill out the roster from any time in franchise history.

16 Teams
$90M salary cap
2011 twist plus two extras from 2001-2010
no dh, no AAA, no clones, trades are fine, must play in team's 2011 stadium.
alignment as close to RL as possible
40 live to make playoffs
quick start
playoffs must be played live

I know it is not cool for the founder to pick first, but I am a big A's fan and they do not have any strategy advantage over any other team, so I taking my guys.

Toronto.  This could be painful

I'll take the Yankees. Curious, why is there no AAA?

I like not having AAA.  It evens the playing field a little bit.  The few teams that would otherwise be able to start a $6 million player at every position have to make the same concessions as those who have no choice but to run JP Arencibia out there almost every game because Toronto only used TWO frigging catchers for the whole frigging season....wait...what was I saying?

lol
what I would like to see if at all possible is the DH instituted on AL teams only....Makes it more realistic

Makes sense Jesters. Sounds good to me with no AAA then. I agree with the point you made. Well i could trade you either Russell Martin or Posada if you wanted?

Welcome steve9955, braveboy73, Jesters, lloyd1955, and dlrawson.

About AAA, I also want to add that with the 200K player rule and with the two extras from 2001-2010, I believe that we can all fill holes without a need for AAA.

As far as DH goes, I really don't like to start changing rules once a bunch have signed up, but if there is an overwhelming wish for this, then I will change it.  Let me know if there are others out there that want DH in AL only.  One reason I don't like DH is cuz it is a disadvantage for the team that makes it to TOC.  But maybe in a league like this, the odds of making top 4 in the TOC are slim, I am not sure.

Thanks to those signed up.  League number will be sent out soon.

I'd be cool with the DH, it's been awhile since I've been in a league with one.  And Lloyd, i'd be interested in either of those guys, but I'm not sure I have an abundance of guys you'd want in return.
