Ath/spd in the Triangle Topic

I have this theory, and I was wondering if anyone else thought the same way or if I'm just crazy. I just picked up a D3 team that runs triangle/press.

Does ath/spd kinda go to waste in the triangle offense? To my understanding, the triangle in HD is an offense that utilizes pass/bh to make up for a lack of spd/ath. It seems that the players that would best fit a press system would also be best fit for a motion and obviously fastbreak offense. What I want to know is, does having superior ath/spd act as a sort of multiplier for the effectiveness for the triangle, or does it go to waste?

I ask because I'm considering making the change from triangle to motion. I know that you can be successful running essentially any O/D combo, but I have a hunch that the ath/spd of the players I recruit for my press would be better utilized in a motion offense. Any opinions?

I think there is very, very, very little difference between motion, flex and triangle. I do not recruit differently for them, nor do I see a discernable difference in how my players perform in those offenses.

This. I haven't ever recruited differently between them either.

Low Post is probably more useful in triangle and motion than the other 2.
PER is more important in flex than the other 3
PA,BH seems to be more important in motion than the other 3
ATH/SPD is more useful in the fastbreak than the other 3.

Awesome. I really didn't want to have to throw away a season to change offenses. Thanks guys

I'd say the flex is the most different out of the three main offenses, but they're still pretty much the same.

Pretty much this, but to a small extent. I've had great teams that didn't "fit" this, and under-performing teams that did. Not nearly as important as defensive competence, IMO.
