Yup.  Most of us (thought not all) fill out our rosters with $200K players who are then sent down for AAA, or perhaps even released outright once the season starts, giving you a little extra salary to play with on the waiver wire.

Once the season starts you can drop players via the WW page although you must keep a minimum of 12 batters and 6 pitchers.
