Playoffs and Pitcher Fatigue Topic

I thought that the pitching staff automatically reset to 5% of their fatigue for the playoffs?  Why did my 1908 Addie Joss start off at 98% for the opening game?

They only "reset" if they are UNDER the season pitch allotment.

So is that 342 innings or is it 342 times 110% 376.2?  If it's 376.2 that is exactly the number of innings he pitched.  So I would have had to have him pitch 376.1?

I don't think you can calculate strictly according to innings, although that will take you into the ballpark.  You have to calculate by actual pitch count, and I will defer to better minds than mine for those equations.  There have been a few threads about how to do the calculations.

I also find it interesting that my game log shows 376.2 IP while my regular season league stats show 376.7 IP.

I will try to locate the thread.  Thank you thunder.

For any of you numbers guys that care to attack it my 1908 Addie Joss season stats are below:

Reg Season League Stats:  G & GS:  54, IP:  376.7, BFP:  1549, PC: 4924
Game Log:  G & GS:  54, IP:  376.2, BFP:  1549, PC:  4924

.2 and .7 both mean 2/3. You'll see both used, but they mean the same thing.

elbirdo's old pitch count formula gives 1908 Joss around 4825 pitches for the season.  That's why he would start your playoffs at under 100%, since he'd thrown 4924 during the season.

4924/4825=1.02
