Hey guys,

We wanted to let you know that we have another update scheduled for release soon. It will include the following items:
  • Actionable 40 Man Roster view on the Edit Rosters page
    • This is a one stop view option to manage your 40-Man roster. Waive, designate, remove, or release any player currently on your 40-Man Roster.
  • Read only 40 Man Roster page
    • This page provides a read only view of every franchises 40-Man roster
  • Diamonds in the Rough report
    • Moving forward all Diamond in the Rough selections will be tracked and will display on this page. The page allows you to search by season and franchise.
  • Diamonds in the Rough will now see an increase in their current ratings as well as their projected ratings
    • In addition to receiving a projected ratings bump we are now applying a percentage of that adjustment to their current ratings. The adjustment is based on the players pro years of experience.
  • Diamonds in the Rough will now be denoted as such on the player profile
  • The signing bonus will now appear when a huge International Free Agent is signed in your world
  • When clicking the title for a world content event that involves stats the page will now load the relevant stat
  • Minor bug fixes

Hopefully this is the DiTR modification that makes it worth something to more than the occasional C or RP.

speaking of which, anyone else having problems w/ the league leaders page?  Seems like it leaves out about 90% of the league that should be qualified for these stats.

DIAH, talk about being slightly unfair to a guy eh?  truely, what is wrong with hoping that DITR actually lives up to its name?  Up till now DITR really only meant CZITR (cubic zirconium in the rough) I have never seen any true diamonds come out, and I doubt you ever have either.

That being said, I dont think every DITR should be a true diamond, say maybe 5-10% of them reach the level of diamond, a few more made gold, and the rest cubic zirconiun...  :)

DIAH, not sure where you get the idea I advocate every DiTR becoming an actual star, but it would be nice if a RF could get some use out of it, if a guy drafted in round 12 went on to have an all-star type career once every 5 seasons or so.  The unveryfied stat, was in reference to the league leaders page not working right now, its the same across my 4 worlds, and veryfied by somebody else that is having issues with it.  Ok, so perhaps it doesn't leave out 90% of the players but when I click on home run leaders, it gives me a bunch of guys w/ 0 home runs hit on the season.

The signing bonus will now appear when a huge International Free Agent is signed in your world

This is a good one. I've always wondered why that doesn't appear on the player card from the front-page link, since that's the first thing wonder when I see those announcements. Thanks to whoever suggested it.

Can you please allow us to see world rules when deciding whether to join a world?  That seems like a pretty critical piece of information needed to make an informed choice on a new world.

That's my biggest beef with the whole DiTR system.  With the rare exception, it seems like the only ones to see any real benefit out of a DiTR are catchers and relief pitchers.  It appears the ability to get a DiTR is tied to projected overall rating, which tend to be lower for both catchers and relief pitchers in this game, so they're the only 2 spots were I see a AAA/AA career type guy turn into a useful major leaguer.

I'd love to see a 5th round 3b get a DiTR bump and turn into an everyday 3b in the majors by the end of his progression.  Perhaps the jump in current ratings will help that.  If the flip side is you have to generate more bust amongst high draft picks, then so be it.  Otherwise, just do away with it.

and FWIW, the league leaders page seems to be working now.  Not sure if it was a temporary glitch that worked itself out, or if sitestaff saw the error and fixed it, but either way it looks good again.

The problem most of us have with DITR griping is this:   A free player is a free player regardless of position.   You didn't do anything to "earn" a Danny Scott(I spent a 5th round pick) so complaining about their limitations seems silly.

As far as more high pick busts, uh, no.   Once the game becomes a simple game of random chance(which is what good late rounders and poor early rounders is), it loses it's appeal.
