Without getting too flowery- the So. Cal in Knight is one of the most dominating conferences in DIII today. 6 of the last 10 national champions have come from the conference. $6583 per team of conference recruiting bonus cash (yes, that's more than two DIII scholarships). Most seasons an RPI under .6100 is a dissapointment. 9 teams went to the NT this season. It's a great conference.
We currently have two openings (assuming tcole does not come back late again):
CSU, Eastbay (http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=13654) is a young team, set up for motion man. They finished last in the conference (7-20, RPI of 177), but are ripe to be postseason worthy in a couple of seasons.
Redlands (http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=13652) is one of the prizes that likely won't survive the job period. A final four team this season (losing to the in-conference, in-division national champion), Redlands is a triangle/man team, A+ prestige, and was a quick turnaround job by pinkeye to make them nationally prominent in a few seasons.
My personal disclaimer- IF YOU CANNOT STAND LOSING, the So-Cal is not a great place for you. Even great coaches will suffer their lumps here. More often than not, a .500 record will get you into the NT, the national champion lost 4 in-conference games, and a CT game. We would love to have coaches willing to learn, grow, and help us dominate. Lots of help is also available in the form of advice on the coaches corner. See you soon!
