ok, so I have this really good pitching prospect I acquired in a trade on Nov 1. It has been two weeks now. Unfortunately, I didn't notice when I traded for him that the guy who owned the team he was originally on must not have paid attention to his minor league teams. That's the only way I can explain the fact that this guy would start EVERY SINGLE GAME at the AAA level.

Here is the player: http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=4218974

You will see that he would pitch every game, throw a lot of pitches in just a few innings, and get battered each time. So he was traded to me at this point, and he is of course at 0% when I get him. I put him on "rest" at the AAA level for maybe 2 real time days. Seeing that he is still at 0% (which didn't surprise me), I put him on the inactive list to free up a spot that could be used.

But now, 14 days later, this player is still at 0%. Should I ever expect him to recover before the season is over?

Just FYI, I see his current-projected ratings as follows:

overall: 74-88
health: 90-100
durability: 18-20
stamina: 70-82
control: 82-100
velocity: 94-100

So he should turn out to be quite a stud. I'd love to see him in action at some point, but who knows when that will be.

He threw over 2,000 pitches at 0 fatigue.  With a durability of 18, he may be done for the season.

That sucks, if true. If it makes any difference, the AAA season ends on Dec 3. The ML last day is Dec 9. But even if he did recover in time, I wouldn't promote him this season anyway.

He could throw 75 pitches every 5th day, so over 29 starts in AAA, that'd be about 2175 pitches for the season.  I imagine he's pretty much done.

Too bad. Oh well, thank for the input. Luckily I don't need him this season.

ML team is not so good because I traded away a few studs who were in their final contract year who I could not see being able to re-sign next season. But I have a solid AAA team and some nice up and coming talent that is still a few years from their prime. It will probably take at least 3-4 seasons before my ML team starts seeing results, so I'm in no hurry.

That 0-20 record is pretty cool though.

Your pitcher won't be ready to throw again for around 50 HBD days.

Is there a way for us to determine that from his player card?  It would be nice to know how far in the hole a player is after getting worked like this guy.

Terrific, thanks for the info. Well there are 51 HBD left on the AAA schedule, so this could get interesting. lol

Unfortunately not, we have underlying data that we put into a formula that will calculate it. If you ever want to know just send in a support ticket.

I assume that means you will tell people the number of days until they recover via a ticket, not that you will provide the formula via a ticket.

If that's the case, you might want to clarify that or else you'll get bombarded with tickets requesting the formula.
